New Details Emerge About Arrested Father-Son Duo Ryan and Oran Routh

The man accused of an attempted assassination on former president Donald Trump and his son are both expected to appear in court this week.
Ryan Wesley Routh is charged with attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, possession of a firearm while a former felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Routh is scheduled to appear in court to be arraigned on the attempted assassination charge on Monday.
Routh was allegedly pointing a rifle through the fence of Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida when he was spotted by a Secret Service agent. He did not fire any shots before fleeing the scene.
Trump was playing on the golf course at the time, but he was unharmed in the incident.
Routh was arrested later that day in Martin County. He was initially charged with the two firearms charges, and the attempted assassination charge was added by prosecutors on Tuesday.
He allegedly wrote a note addressed to the world if he were to fail in his alleged assassination attempt.
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job,” the note said, according to prosecutors.
The note was found inside of a box given to an unidentified person. The person said they did not open the box until after Routh’s arrest, then turned it in to authorities.
The case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed by Trump. She also presided over, then dismissed the federal criminal classified documents case against Trump.
Ryan Routh’s son, Oran Routh was arrested on federal charges of possessing child sexual abuse images after officials searched his Greensboro, North Carolina home. An FBI official said the search was “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation.”
The images were allegedly found on two Samsung Galaxy Note devices, one of which contained “hundreds of child pornography files,” prosecutors said in the criminal complaint.
Oran Routh appeared in court for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday. His next appearance is a detention hearing scheduled for Tuesday. Prosecutors are expected to ask for him to be detained as his case progresses.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Ryon McCabe ruled to keep his father, Ryan Routh, jailed at his detention hearing on September 23.
